Parking
Visitors to Brighton Le Sands RSL can utilise the three level car park behind the Club. Entry to the car park is from The Boulevard.
People living within 5km of Brighton Le Sands RSL are required by law to be financial members of the Club or signed in as a guest of a current financial member of the club to enter. Suburbs within 5km are:
Allawah, Arncliffe, Banksia, Bardwell Park, Bardwell Valley, Beverly Park, Bexley, Bexley North, Botany, Brighton Le Sands, Carlton, Carss Park, Dolls Point, Hurstville, Kogarah, Kogarah Bay, Kyeemagh, Marrickville, Mascot, Monterey, Ramsgate, Ramsgate Beach, Rockdale, Sandringham, Sans Souci, South Hurstville, Tempe, Turella, Wolli Creek
Temporary Membership
The following persons may be admitted as Temporary members of the Club in accordance with procedures established by the Board from time to time:
A person whose permanent place of residence in New South Wales is at least 5 kilometres from the Club’s defined premises or such greater distance as may be determined from time to time by the Board by By-law;
A full member (as defined in the Registered Clubs Act) of any other club which is registered under the Registered Clubs Act and which has objects similar to those of the Club;
A full member (as defined in the Registered Clubs Act) of any registered club or any interstate club (as defined in the Registered Clubs Act) who, at the invitation of the Board or of a Full member of the Club, attends on any day at the premises of the Club for the purpose of participating in an organised sport or competition to be conducted by the Club on that day, from the time on that day when the person so attends the premises of the Club until the end of that day;
An interstate or overseas visitor.
Registered Club Act 1976- Section 30(10)
The rules of a registered club (in this subsection referred to as "the host club") shall, unless its rules provide that the provisions of this subsection do not apply to that club, be deemed to include a rule that a full member of any other registered club or any interstate club (as defined in subsection (13)) who, at the invitation of the governing body or of a full member of the host club, attends on any day at the premises of the host club for the purpose of participating in an organised sport or competition to be conducted by the host club on that day shall be a temporary memberof the host club from the time on that day when he or she so attends the premises of the host club until the end of that day.
Registered Clubs Act 1976 – Section 4 Definition of “Guest”
a) A Guest of a full member, provisional member or honorary member of a registered club, means a person:
i) whose name and address (unless the person is a minor), countersigned by the member, are entered in a register kept for the purpose by the club, and
(ii) who, at all times while on the club premises, remains in the reasonable company of the member, and
(iii) who does not remain on the club premises any longer than the member, and
b) A Guest of a temporary member of a registered club, means a minor:
(i) who, at all times while on the club premises, remains in the company and immediate presence of the member, and
(ii) who does not remain on the club premises any longer than the member, and
(iii) in relation to whom the member is a responsible adult.
RSL Service members and current serving ADF personnel
Honorary membership status is granted for the day of attendance on producing either Defence Force ID or an RSL card. RSL Service members must also produce evidence of membership of an RSL or services club.
Dress regulations
Member and visitor appearance must be clean, neat and tidy.
The following are not permitted.
- Bare Feet
- Singlets / sleeveless shirts for men
- Offensive clothing
- Torn or Damaged Clothing
- Hat, Caps & Helmets*
*ladies dress hat, religious & medical headwear permitted
The Club reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone who is inappropriately dressed.
