Code of Conduct

If a member refuses or neglects to comply with any of the provisions of the Constitution of the Club or the By-laws thereof or be in the opinion of the Board or the Board’s duly constituted disciplinary committee, guilty of any conduct prejudicial to the interests of the Club or be in the opinion of the Board or the disciplinary committee, guilty of conduct which is unbecoming of a member or which shall render the member unfit for membership, the Board or the disciplinary committee shall have the power to reprimand, suspend from all privileges of membership for such period as it considers fit, expel or accept the resignation of such member and to remove the person’s name from the Register of Members.

The Code

Access to the Club is a privilege to be cherished and safeguarded. Accordingly, members, guests and visitors shall:

• Respect the rights of others to enjoy the facilities and services provided by the Club
• Interact with each other and with employees in a courteous manner
• Refrain from behaviours that undermine the health and wellbeing of other patrons
• Bullying, Harassment, or Discrimination of another member, guest, visitor or staff member, will not be tolerated
• Show due consideration to the needs of others, including their right to privacy
• Comply with Club policies, signage and lawful directions of staff
• Access the Club with proper identification
• Ensure children are accompanied by a responsible adult whilst on Club premise
• Abide by the dress code of the Club
• Not use foul or abusive language
• Not over indulge in alcohol
• Not bring food or drinks onto the Club premises for consumption on the premises
• Handle property belonging to the Club with care and diligence
• Not bring or have in their possession illegal materials while on the premises
• Refrain from representing the Club in any form, unless properly authorised to do so
• Not deliberately tarnish the reputation of the Club or bring it into disrepute
• Not refuse to leave the premises when legally requested, or having done so attempt to re-enter
• Acknowledge they may be recorded on closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras located inside and outside the venue

The Code will be actively monitored by the Club and if a breach occurs and can be proven, the Club will initiate disciplinary action against the relevant member(s), guest(s) and/or visitor(s) under the Club’s Disciplinary Procedure
